Painted outdoors at Comanche Lookout Park, this study focuses on the changing evening sky just after sunset. Layers of cool blues, violets, and warm pinks drift across the horizon while the dark Hill Country brush settles into silhouette below.

The loose brushwork and shifting cloud shapes were painted quickly on location as the light disappeared by the minute. This piece leans into atmosphere and color more than detail — a quiet record of the end of the day from one of the higher points overlooking San Antonio.
